How to spend 24 unforgettable hours in the Capital of Christmas (even when it’s not Christmas!) starting from our cozy city-center loft.

So, you’ve only got 24 hours? Don’t panic. Since our loft is located right in the historic center, you’re already ahead of the game. Put on your most comfortable walking shoes, and let’s go.

Morning: Pastries and Spires Start with a “Kugelhupf” (a traditional Alsatian brioche) from a local bakery. Walk to the Strasbourg Cathedral. If you’re feeling brave, climb the 332 steps to the platform. The view of the Black Forest and the Vosges mountains is worth every bead of sweat.

Lunch: The Authentic Winstub Experience Skip the tourist menus. Head to a “Winstub” (a cozy Alsatian wine lounge). Order a Tarte Flambée (Flammekueche). It’s thin, crispy, and topped with cream, onions, and lardons. It’s basically Alsatian pizza, and it’s heavenly.

Afternoon: On the Water You can’t visit Strasbourg without seeing it from the river. Hop on a Batorama boat tour. It takes you through the locks of Petite France and all the way to the European Parliament. It’s the best way to see the contrast between the medieval “Old World” and the glass-and-steel “Modern Europe.”

Evening: Sunset at the Loft Head back to the loft to freshen up, then grab a glass of local Riesling at a wine bar in the Krutenau district. It’s the trendy, student-friendly part of town with a great vibe.
